The sixth, and final, internal club competition of the 2015-16 season took place on Wednesday 9 March 2016. The set subject was “Street Photography” – to which the programme notes added “As defined in Wikipedia ‘street photography’ is photography that features the human condition within public places. Street photography does not necessitate the presence of a street or even the urban environment”. The competition was judged by Don Byatt ARPS EFIAP MPAGB BPE5* from Milton Keynes (and a member of New City Photographic Society).
The fifth internal club competition of the 2015-16 season took place on Wednesday 10 February. This was an “open” competition for both prints and projected digital images (PDIs). Entries comprised the usual wide variety of subjects, approaches and styles – covering wildlife, macro, portraiture (people and animals), landscape, candid/street, travel, abstract, monochrome and much, much more. The competition was judged by Dave Hipperson. Dave has been a keen photographer for over 40 years and a CACC (Chilterns Association of Camera Clubs) judge for over three years.
The fourth internal club competition of the 2015-16 season took place on Wednesday 13 January 2016. The set subject was “Blue” – to which the programme notes added “Your interpretation of “blue” (and bear in mind this is a family show!)”. The competition was judged by Damon Guy of Marlow Camera Club. He said he has been “into photography” for practically all his life, but especially over the last 15 years of the digital era when he has been writing about and teaching photography. He is also the editor of Photokonnexion, a website that aims to help photographers of all abilities learn about making images and have fun.
